Sean Micka received his BFA from the Institute of Boston at Lesley University in 2002, and is currently represented by the Judi Rotenberg Gallery in Boston, MA. He has had two solo shows there (Memorabilia in 2005, and Afterimages in 2008), as well as a solo show at The Art Institute of Boston in 2002 called, Paintings, Drawings and Books. He has been written up in The Boston Globe, New American Paintings, The Improper Bostonian, The Boston Herald, and ArtsMedia. For Mutable he wrote The Culture of the Real and Spherical Perspectivism. He was also a member of The Common Cold from 1999 to 2004, both their albums, “Self-titled” and “Bleep…Bleep…Bloop”, released through Action Driver Recorded Works, and was juried into New American Paintings, Volume #62 in 2005.
